The 13th ELITE International Conference was successfully held on October 6-7, 2025, at the State Islamic University (Universitas Islam Negeri, UIN) Malang. This prestigious annual academic event was hosted by Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, in collaboration with the Association of English Lecturers under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The conference serves as an important platform for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders in the field of English language teaching to exchange ideas, present research findings, and discuss best practices at both national and international levels.
The conference attracted participants from various regions across Indonesia as well as several other countries, highlighting the growing strength of international networks and collaboration in English language education. With relevant themes and expert speakers from around the globe, the conference is expected to foster advancements in English language teaching and innovative research.
Prof. Dr. Hj. Like Raskova Octaberlina, M.ED, President of the Association of English Lecturers under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, shared her thoughts on the significance of the conference. “The ELITE International Conference is not merely a forum for sharing knowledge but also a strategic platform to strengthen collaboration between academics and practitioners. Through this conference, we hope to create sustainable synergies that enhance the quality of English language education in Indonesia and worldwide,” said Prof. Like.
She further emphasized the importance of developing adaptive and technology-based teaching methods to make English language education more effective and relevant to contemporary needs. “We are committed to continually promoting innovation and research that directly impact teaching practices,” she added.
